File invalid - common problems

"File invalid" may mean that

  • your G-Record is missing
  • your G-Record is not matching the file content
  • your logger is not accepted by WeGlide

My files show up as invalid, what can I do?

  1. Check if logger is listed below
  2. Check if any of the next topics apply to you (downloaded from platform, doubleseater..)
  3. Contact your logger manufacturer (with the original file)
  4. If they say everything is correct, please contact us

For advanced users, read "How can I check files myself?" below.

Files from other platforms

Files downloaded from other platforms may be invalid if they were downloaded from a different account than they belong to. If the G-Record (near the end of any igc-file, line starting with "G") starts with "G123" this is most certainly the case.

Files from LXNAV double seaters

IGC-Files from LXNAV double seater units are only valid if exported from the main device.

Old Flarm files

Old Flarm files (before 2014) will show up as invalid because the signature was changed.

  2. Download the correct DLL and put it in the same folder as the previously unpacked "IGCshell.exe"
  3. Start "IGCshell.exe" and click "OK" on any errors (ports unavailable and similar)
  4. Select your logger manufacturer in the top bar
  5. Click on "Validate" and select your IGC-File
