Search

Nearly everything on WeGlide can be searched. Therefore it pays of to understand the working principles of this tiny input box.

Type your desired search term and select one of the shown suggestions. Everything works like a normal search engine with the possibility of combining multiple search terms to powerful filters.

Filters

Clicking on the text of an applied filter redirects to the corresponding detail page. Clicking the X removes the filter.

• Club
• Airport
• Pilot name
• Aircraft model
• Aircraft registration for all flights from a specific glider
• Country, region/state, continent or sector (e.g. Alps)
• Local competition name
• Collection
• Travel

Special filters

Clicking on "more" shows some special filters, these are also available on the normal search input.

• Keywords: Juniors, women, outlanding, vintage, summer/winter, pictures and more
• Engine type: Engine, no propulsion, FES
• Takeoff type: Winch, tow or self start
• Aircraft class
• Circumnavigation of the airspaces around international airports (e.g. Paris, Berlin, Stuttgart). For flights with multiple circumnavigations, type them into the search bar
• Flight distance range

Date

Select the calendar symbol besides the search and select your desired mode: Day, range or season.

• Day: Select the date in the calendar, for changing seasons, scroll to the left or right and click earlier or later.
• Range: Select the start and then the end date
• Season: Select the gliding season

Filters from the same type extend the search whereby different filter types reduce the search further. The logic follows intuition.

Regions

Regions are the largest areas a country is commonly divided into. For example states in the USA, regions in France, Kantone in Switzerland or Bundesländer in Germany.

It is also possible to filter the USA by SSA regions:

Search history

WeGlide stores the last ten selected filters the device and presents them as suggestions when clicking the search box. We do not transfer or store search histories to our servers.
