Flight verification

How WeGlide checks your flight for competitions and how to spot if your flight qualifies.

Three requirements

  1. The flight is valid. A continuous and good quality GPS and sensor track is recorded. Specific issues will be shown as described in the Scoring error codes.

  2. The file is valid. The IGC file signature from the logger can be verified to prove the file was not altered manually. Some national competitions require higher approval levels but for international competitions green and blue is good. Check the list of all loggers and their approval level.

  3. Uploaded in time. The flight must be entered online not later than noon 12:00 PM local time two days after the day of the flight landing for most competitions. This is specified in the contest rules. Here are the rules for the international Free competition

How to spot missed requirements

In general, red on your flight page means something is wrong. This can be an invalid flight or file, indicated by red badges in the status row of your flight. Clicking the error provides further information and troubleshooting help.

When the flight was entered too late, a red warning will appear in each contest tab below the point calculation on your flight page.

Flights with missed requirements will appear in the daily list on desktop without a green ranking number or greyed out on mobile phones.
